good grief. virginia is a funny place. this afternoon it started to snow. and then it stopped. there's some on the ground but you can still see the blades of grass poking thru. the roads are wet but there is zero snow on the asphalt.

and yet....

our flight was cancelled. not delayed..... CANCELLED.

AND.......

emma called to say that the entire university is closed tomorrow.

wow.

so paul and i are in roanoke staying another night in a hotel, and will hopefully be on the red-eye at 6 A.M. tomorrow.

hopefully. cuz, you know. it snowed an entire 1/2 inch. so, yeah.


EDIT at 10 pm: 6 a.m. flight cancelled! rebooked on one getting home around 2 pm... weather permitting. hmmmmm..... still don't see any snow out there. crazy.

EDIT at 11:30 am monday: flight cancelled AGAIN - are you even kidding me?!?!?!?!? booked on 6 am flight tomorrow. thank God that paul brought his laptop and we've got wifi in our hotel - he's getting lots of work done and we have a link to the outside world.
